A native of Oakland County, family lawyer Scott W. Beach has been providing counseling and legal services of the highest caliber to individuals and families in Southeastern Michigan for approximately 20 years.
Mr. Beach grew up in Oakland County and graduated from Waterford Kettering High School in 1987. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Michigan State University in 1992; graduating Summa Cum Laude. After taking some time off from his studies to enjoy himself traveling, residing, and adventuring in Europe and Asia, he returned to his home state of Michigan in 1995.
Mr. Beach obtained his Juris Doctor from the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University; graduating Cum Laude in 1999, and was admitted to the Michigan State Bar in 2000.
Scott’s Ethos
Not happy with the outrageous fees/costs charged by and the lack of personal attention clients received from larger firms, Mr. Beach founded his own law practice soon after graduating from law school. Since then he has been practicing almost exclusively in the area of family, probate, criminal, and landlord/tenant law. Mr. Beach has extensive experience in practice before the Oakland County Circuit Court, Wayne County Circuit Court, and Macomb County Circuit Court, along with all District Courts within those counties.
As a Michigan family lawyer, Mr. Beach has handled hundreds of divorce and probate cases over the years, from the most simple to the extremely complex. He has represented clients in all aspects of family and probate law including wills, conservatorships, guardianships, divorce, custody and parenting time, spousal and child support, interstate custody and support issues, alimony, property division, division of assets between unmarried parties, prenuptial contracts, post nuptial contracts and related matters.
Mr. Beach is a strong believer that the parties to a divorce should attempt to work together regardless of attorneys involvement to come to the best possible resolution, for themselves and their children. However, at the same time, he thoroughly prepares his client’s case for aggressive litigation, should that become necessary.
As a landlord/tenant attorney, Mr. Beach has represented clients as varied as apartment complexes of over 600 units to the commercial landlord owning only one unit, and also the tenant dealing with a difficult landlord/management company in eviction and related proceedings. Such matters are handled from start to finish in all District Courts in the Metro-Detroit area.
